Comprehensive Locksmith Training

With over 10 years experience Northwest Locksmiths promote skill and integrity in all aspects of domestic and commercial locksmithing.

The course takes place in our purpose built training facilities and you will work on locks that arein doors and not just in a vice at a work bench. We know this is the best method of training that will give you a skilled and rewarding trade that will last you a lifetime.

With only 3 students on the 2 day course at any one time you will be given intesive practical and theoretical tuition from an expericenced locksmith and be given all the information you need to get you working as soon as the course finishes. Ideal for Bailiff and Insurance entry work.

Before you begin the course we will complete a comprensive Police and Criminal Record Search to ensure that the students we take on have not previously been convicted of braking and entering or similar offences.

What Does The Course Cover?

Our course covers all you need to know to get you up and running as soon as the cousre finishes with specific focus on the following topics:

• Practical / Theory of lock mechanisms

• Non-destructive Lock Picking for Yale/Tumbler
5 Lever Sash/Dead locks

• UPVc Lock Failure, little know metods for when the
Met-Drive fails.

• Drill and Pick. Non-destructive drilling of locks if
picking fails.

• Auto Locksmithing

• Introduction to Key Cutting and making your own picks

• Boarding up procedures

• Public Liability Insurance and paper work

• Introduction to Locksmiths Suppliers

• Introduction to the Association of Master Locksmiths and the Auto Locksmiths Association
